This Privacy Policy applies to peaklittech.com and the PeopleOS HR product offered by PEAK LIT TECH LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Peak Lit,” “we,” “us”). Contact:hello@peaklittech.com.
This policy does not cover a separate consumer finance app. That product, if offered, will have its own policy.
Peak Lit is not a bank, is not FDIC-insured, does not originate ACH, does not hold wages, and does not send payroll files to customer banks. When payroll money movement is live, it will run through a licensed payroll processor we name when that service is live.
Who is responsible
If you are an employer customer (or an admin on a PeopleOS tenant), we handle your account and site-visitor information as described below. If you are an employee whose employer uses PeopleOS, your employer is the controller. We process workforce data as a service provider / processor for that employer. Direct day-to-day HR privacy questions to your employer.
Information we collect
Site and customer admins. Name, work email, company, messages you send us (including the contact form), login and role, and basic logs (IP, browser, pages, timestamps). Cookies required to run the site.
PeopleOS workforce data entered by the employer: identity and job data, compensation the employer enters, time/attendance/PTO, and HR documents the employer stores.
Payroll identifiers. PeopleOS can store encrypted bank routing and account numbers for file export, and the API can accept an optional tax ID. We do not invite employee SSN collection for production use until counsel clears it, especially for schools. When payroll money movement is live, SSNs, W-4 details, and wage-pay bank details should be collected through the licensed processor we name then.
Payments. PeopleOS billing is currently simulated. When live, Stripe may process subscription payments. We do not store full card numbers. We do not collect a personal cell number on this site.
How we use information
To provide, secure, and improve the site and PeopleOS; authenticate users; respond to support; bill through Stripe when live; support payroll through a licensed processor when live; detect abuse; and comply with law. We do not use workforce HR data to sell ads.
How we share information
We share information with third parties as needed to operate the service.We do not claim that we never share data with third parties.
We share with: service providers listed below; the employer customer (for workforce data they control); professional advisors bound to confidentiality; authorities if required by law; and a buyer or successor if Peak Lit is involved in a merger or sale. We do not sell workforce HR data for money. That is not a formal CCPA “we do not sell or share” certification.
Service providers
- Hosting — to be named when peaklittech.com is live.
- Stripe — card payments when live. Billing is simulated today.
- Discord — the contact form posts name, email, company, and message to a Discord webhook.
- Google Workspace — customer and support mail when live (hello@, support@, david@).
- Licensed payroll processor — named when payroll money movement is live. We do not name a payroll brand here until that partner is live.
Retention and security
We keep information as needed to provide the service, follow the customer’s instructions, meet legal recordkeeping, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable safeguards for a small US software company. We do not claim SOC 2, ISO, PCI, or GDPR adequacy.
US state privacy
Workforce HR data is processed as a service provider to the employer. Employee requests should go to the employer first; we will reasonably help. For site visitors and customer-admin accounts we may ourselves be a “business” under some state laws. This policy does not claim we are, or are not, a CCPA “business,” and it does not claim a finished “sale/share” finding. Requests:hello@peaklittech.com. If the request is about PeopleOS workforce data, name your employer.
Children and schools
The site and PeopleOS are for businesses and working-age users, not children under 13, and not a student-facing education product. A school may be an employer customer for employees. Counsel must clear the product before a school puts employee SSNs in PeopleOS. We do not claim FERPA school-official status.
